Looks like I forgot my biweekly goal! The first term has FLOWN BY!! I can't believe it is already time for SEP's. I had the students make a goal for term 2 today and my goal is to be a better blogger!. I've got the post it already taped to my computer!
October is always a fun month to be in school. The leaves are changing colors, fall weather is here, and Halloween is right around the corner. We were able to lots of fun things. In social studies we have been studying Egypt and the kids have created their own tomb art and cartouches.
We even did an artist study and focused on the artwork of Pablo Picasso. The students then created Frankenstein in the style of Picasso.
Thanks to Harward Farms every student in the school got a pumpkin and we helped our buddies estimate how many seeds were in the pumpkin and then see how close their estimations were. The kids had a great time getting messy!
